Supporting Make-A-Wish as a Wish Hero

The Gear Centre Group of companies is a proud supporter of Make-A-Wish Northern Alberta, which is why we jumped at the opportunity to be a Wish Hero for the month of April. We’re striving to raise $2500 as a Wish Hero, to help grant the wishes of every eligible child. The Gear Centre Group of companies will also match donations raised, dollar for dollar up to $2500. The goal is to grant 1600 wishes across Canada, with 230 wishes in Alberta.

Every dollar helps and will go towards making wishes come true for local children with critical illnesses. More wishes are waiting than ever before and we’re hoping to make more wishes possible.

If you can, please help by donating today!

Christmas Party 2019 with Children’s Wish

The Gear Centre Group of Companies hosted a Christmas party for Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, Alberta & N.W.T Chapter families for the second year in a row. The Gear Centre Group of Companies gave Christmas presents to 49 children from Wish Families. We would like to thank Sobeys, Save-On-Foods, Costco and Superstore for their generous donations that helped make lunch for nearly 100 people possible. Thank you so much to Ritchie Bros. for making their facility available to us again this year and we would also like to thank Positively Princess’d, Chips and the 501st Legion – Badlands Garrison for donating their time so generously.

This year the theme for the party was Comic Book Adventure. We created the character Gear Boy, and created custom ‘The Adventures of Gear Boy’ artwork to create a fun environment for the Christmas party. If you’re interested in learning more about The Adventures of Gear Boy click here to read a one-page comic we created for the party.
