Ryker Morrell is a 9th grade student at Winston Churchill High School, and the Founder and President of a non-profit charity in Lethbridge called Bottles4Boulet.
Bottles4Boulet raised over $2,500 in their first year which translated into 11 local children being able to play sports that they may not have been able to otherwise. All Bottles4Boulet proceeds go to the KidSport Lethbridge Taber Logan Boulet fund ‘So ALL kids can play’!
The Gear Centre Group of Companies had the privilege of hosting a Christmas party for Wish Children and their families on Saturday, December 15. There was pizza, hot dogs and cupcakes for all! We watched movies, opened treat bags and visited with Anna, Chase and Wonder Woman. There was even a surprise visit by Santa who brought a gift for every child! A great time was had by all. Children’s Wish is such a wonderful organization and we were honored to work with them this holiday season. On Saturday, August 18, The Gear Centre and Pat’s Driveline were at the Moncton Coliseum in support of Convoy for Hope – Atlantic’s 9th annual drive for a cure. Convoy for Hope – Atlantic brings truckers together to raise money in support of research, detection and prevention of the four most diagnosed cancers in Canada. Convoy for Hope – Atlantic is an annual event and has raised more than $250,000 since its first convoy in 2010. Come and join us in The Drive for a Cure! Despite the weather, this year’s event was a huge success with 25 registered trucks, a fire truck, an ambulance, 4 corporate sponsored vehicles, 24 CAV & support units and 17 survivors.
